Product Application & Use:

Before You Begin (Important Precautions):

• Temperature: Ensure both surface and air temperature are above 40°F (4°C) during application and for 48 hours after.
• Weather: Do not apply if rain is forecasted within 24 hours of application.
• Splash Test: Test surface porosity. Sprinkle water on the surface; if it absorbs and darkens within five seconds, it’s ready. If water beads up, protection is not needed at this time.
• Bleeding Surfaces: Certain surfaces (some stucco, stabilized adobe) may bleed. Test in an inconspicuous area first.
• Protect Surroundings: Cover plants and shrubs. Move objects that could get overspray. Remove overspray from glass immediately with paint thinner or mineral spirits.
• Do NOT Use On: Asphalt, plastic, natural rubber, fabric, or on painted or recently stained surfaces.

Preparation Warning: WARNING! Removal of old paint by sanding, scraping or other means may generate dust or fumes that contain lead. Exposure to lead dust or fumes may cause brain damage or other adverse health effects, especially in children or pregnant women. Controlling exposure to lead or other hazardous substances requires the use of proper protective equipment such as a properly fitted respirator (NIOSH approved) and proper containment and cleanup. Surface Preparation:

1. Surfaces and substrates must be free of all mildew, dust, dirt, oil, soot, grease, and other contaminants.
2. Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to application with a deck cleaner or concrete cleaner applied according to label directions and cautions.
3. Allow the surface to dry thoroughly (minimum of 2 days for wood, 3 or more days for concrete or masonry) before application. If surface is damp or wet from cleaning or weather, allow a minimum of 48 hours for it to dry thoroughly before application.

Application Directions:

1. Do not mix with other waterproofing products.
2. Perform a small trial patch before treating the entire surface.
3. Shake can well before and during use. Hold can in an upright position, approximately 12 inches from the surface.
4. Apply: Depress the button fully and spray one THIN, even coat over the entire surface to be waterproofed – DO NOT SATURATE.
5. Second Coat: If applying a second coat (2 coats are recommended), allow the first coat to dry for 24 hours before applying the second thin coat
6. Ventilation: Use only with adequate ventilation.
7. Caution: Oiliness and tackiness will result if over-applied, applied to a wet or damp surface, or if the overnight temperature falls below 40°F (4°C) within 48 hours of application.

• Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or heat from radiators, stoves, hot water, and other heat sources that may cause bursting. Do not puncture, incinerate, burn, or store above 120°F (49°C). Keep upright in a cool, dry place.
• Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid continuous breathing of vapor and spray mist. If you experience eye watering, headaches, or dizziness, increase fresh air, wear respiratory protection (NIOSH approved), or leave the area.
• Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wash hands after using.
• FIRST AID: In case of eye contact, flush thoroughly with large amounts of water for 15 minutes and get medical attention. For skin contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water. In case of respiratory difficulty, provide fresh air and call physician.
