Apply over compatible, cured exterior paint to significantly enhance its durability, moisture resistance, and washability, giving it a sleek, polished look. It’s also excellent for use directly on properly prepared exterior wood (like doors, trim, or even outdoor furniture – check suitability) where you want to protect the wood while adding a durable, glossy finish. It helps shield against weathering and provides a finish resistant to mold and mildew growth. The semi-gloss surface is exceptionally easy to keep clean. Offers easy soap-and-water cleanup.

Recommended Uses: As a high-performance clear topcoat over compatible, properly prepared and cured exterior painted surfaces (especially trim, doors). Also suitable for direct application on prepared exterior wood, masonry, etc., where a durable, clear semi-gloss finish is desired. Not recommended for floors or decks subject to regular foot traffic.

Surface Preparation:

• Over Paint: Ensure existing paint is clean, dry, fully cured, and sound. Thoroughly clean the surface. Light sanding may be needed if the existing surface is very smooth or glossy.
• Bare Wood/Other Surfaces: Surface must be clean, dry, and free of contaminants. Sand smooth. Seal stains or prime if needed before applying clear coat (check compatibility). Follow general exterior prep guidelines. Handle tannin bleed as needed.
• General: Remove surface contaminants with an appropriate cleaner, rinse thoroughly, and allow to dry completely.

Application Instructions: Stir clear finish thoroughly before and during use. Apply only when product, surface, and air temperatures are between 35°F and 90°F (2°C – 32°C) and expected to remain so during the entire application and drying time. Do not apply if temperatures are expected to drop below 35°F (2°C) within 48 hours. Avoid application in direct, hot sun, or when heavy dew or precipitation is expected within the next 2.5 hours. Apply using a quality brush, roller, or sprayer according to manufacturer’s directions. Apply thin, even coats to avoid drips or runs, which will be noticeable with the gloss.

Clean-up & Disposal: Clean tools and spills immediately with warm, soapy water. Do not pour unused product down the drain. Consult local authorities for proper disposal and recycling methods.
